Toricon was not affected by Typhoon Shanshan.

Typhoon Shanshan occurred

Typhoon Shanshan formed on August 21st and made landfall in Japan on August 28th. This typhoon was extremely powerful compared to past typhoons, causing severe damage in Okinawa and Kyushu between the 28th and 31st, and then changed course to the east, bringing heavy rainfall and flooding over a wide area.

Impact on our company

Fortunately, the typhoon’s course veered away from our neighborhood, and although relatively heavy rain continued for a long period of time, the winds were not very strong and there was no noticeable damage.

About the impact on customers

At this time, the typhoon has not affected our production or supply chain, and we are operating as usual.

Typhoon Yagi

On August 31st, Typhoon Yagi formed in the ocean near the Philippines. This typhoon continues to move westward while gaining strength. It appears that it has landed in the Philippines, but there is no information on the damage situation at this time. It is expected that this typhoon will have little impact on Japan, and we believe that our supply chain will not be affected.
